EAS are providing advice on Transport for conversion of the Waggon and Horses public house on Cannock Road, Wolverhampton into a food retail convenience store, two smaller retail units and six flats.
The A460 Cannock Road is a main arterial route into Wolverhampton City centre.
Key Issues
Concerns raised by Wolverhampton City Council include:
- Impact of the development on Cannock Road and the nearby ring road;
- Insufficient off-street retail parking; and
- Insufficient space for servicing on-site.
EAS Solutions
EAS has prepared a Transport Statement for the original application and was able to negotiate an agreed layout incorporating a total of 25 parking spaces and suitable servicing arrangements that avoid peak hour traffic.
