EAS is providing advice on transport for a large 24,000 sqm commercial development on the former steelworks off Sheffield Road in Tinsley, a few 100m from junction 34 of the M1, situated half way between Sheffield and Rotherham.
The development proposals are for a mix of B1 office, B2 industrial and B8 warehousing use.

EAS has prepared a Transport Assessment for an outline planning application and was able to negotiate an agreed link road alignment and junction. The new Halfpenny link road crosses the site and has been designed by Sheffield City Council to link Meadow Hall west of the M1 with Sheffield Road east of the M1, and relieve M1 junction 34 congestion.
EAS was able to negotiate with Sheffield City Council the format of the new link road and in particular the junction of it with Sheffield Road in such a way as to minimise the land take and impact of the link and junction on the development site.
